The incident occurred when the driver of the vehicle, Dropadi Kahar, along with her son, was travelling, suddenly applied the brakes and the duo fell off from on the road, police said, adding the woman died on the spot while the son escaped unhurt.
Kahar, resident of Khayawda village who was currently living in Talera town here, was travelling to Talera.
A a case had been registered against driver Prabha Shanakr, resident of Keshoraipatan, who along with his vehicle, fled from the spot.
