The mishap took place when the overhead electric wire tripped and trapped the teacher Sudha Sharma (32), sub-divisional officer (SDO) Vinay Kumar Rai said.

The body has been sent for post-mortem, he said.

The victim was working as a contractual teacher in a primary school in her native Losghani village, Rai said.
