Y Dileep Kumar, arrested today, used to harass the victim girl, and being fed up with it, she committed suicide by jumping from a building, police said.
Inspector J Maural said that Dileep, who professed love for her, use to stalk and harass her.
The girl was found dead near her home in Krishnarayapuram area under Pendurthi police station limits in the city on July 24 this year.
Dileep is a second year BSc student of a private college and sold milk in the locality.
