Youth clicks obscene photos of girl; booked

A youth has been booked for allegedly clicking obscene photographs of a girl and blackmailing her, police said today.
The incident came to light yesterday when the victim lodged a complaint against the accused identified as Pankaj.
A few days ago, the accused had met the girl at a grocery store, following which he kept pressurising her to marry him and she refused, they said.
However, one day, as she was on her way back home from college, the accused forcibly caught her and gave her a soft-drink laced with an intoxicant following which she lost consciousness, police said.
He then clicked her obscene photographs and blackmailed her saying he would post them online and also send it to her parents if she did not agree to marry him, they said.

A case under section 354 C and 406 of IPC has been registered against the accused and further investigation in the matter is on, they said.
