The members led by the state president of youth congress and MLA, Ashok Chandna, and other Congress leaders held the demonstration and tried to move towards civil lines.
They were prevented by police with the help of water cannons and dispersed them.
"Chandna and others were moved by police force under section 129 (dispersal of assembly by use of civil force) of CrPC," DCP Manish Agrawal said.

The members handed over a representation to the district collector which was addressed to the Chief Minister.
The protesters demanded power supply to farmers in day hours compensation to them for crop loss.
