Youth involved in several cases of robbery arrested

A 20-year-old youth, booked in a case of Arms Act and allegedly involved in several cases of robbery and chain snatching has been arrested.
In 2012, Ram Niwas was arrested in connection with an attempt to murder case lodged in Narela police station here.
The police said that Niwas alias Mogli was arrested on October 17 outside the gate of a park here and a country made pistol and two live cartridges were recovered from him.
"During interrogation, accused Ram Niwas alias Mogli disclosed that he had committed various robberies in outer district of Delhi alongwith his other associates," Ravindra Yadav, Joint Commissioner of Police, Crime said.
He said the accused was also involved in three cases of chain snatching and robberies and one case lodged under the Arms Act.
In 2012, Niwas was arrested in connection with an attempt to murder case, police said.
