Zinc down 0.5% on global cues

Metal for delivery in current month traded lower by 0.41%

Zinc prices moved down by 0.45% to Rs 134.05 per kg in futures market today as speculators offloaded their positions, tracking a weak trend overseas.

At the Multi Commodity exchange, zinc for delivery in March eased by 60 paise, or 0.45% to Rs 134.05 per kg in business turnover of five lots.

Likewise, the metal for delivery in current month traded lower by 55 paise, or 0.41% to Rs 133.35 per kg in 387 lots.

Marketmen said speculators offloaded their positions in tandem with a weak global trend mainly influenced zinc prices at futures trade.
