The Bahujan Samaj Party considers its coalition partner in Uttar Pradesh, the Bhartiya Janata Party, a cobra with open fang.
Congress is saapnath, United Front is naagnath and the BJP a cobra, BSP chief Kanshi Ram told in an interview to a private TV channel Rubaru.
A press release from Rubaru said Kanshi Ram felt that cobra was least dangerous, while the Communists were like green snakes, camouflaged in grass, thereore, one has to deal with them very carefully. The BSP chief said people called him opportunist, but he is a person who never wastes an opportunity. I create opportunities and make use of it so that our society is benefitted. His party had to break the alliance with the Congress because it was unable to create the opportunity to form the BSP-led government in Uttar Pradesh, he said. On the transer of power to the BJP in Uttar Pradesh, he said the BSP would abide by its commitment and hand over power to the BJP after completion of its six months term.
Asked if he was in favour of an electoral alliance with the BJP on a national level, the bsp supremo said he would review the situation after the one year term (six month-six month). However, he said much would depend on the BJP because in the present scenerio, it seemed, BJP wanted status quo to be maintaned while the BSP was for change. So both cannot go together, Kanshi Ram said.
