The ICI chairman Ashok Ganguly has been inducted as the chairman of I-Win, the joint venture infrastructure company between the ICICI Ltd and the West Bengal Industrial Development Corporation (WBIDC).

Ganguly took over as chairman of the company after a board meeting on April 22 at Calcutta, which had been attended by the ICICI chairman N Vaghul. The post had been lying vacant after the sudden demise of the Williamson Magor director Mumtaz Ahmed, a couple of months ago.

While ICICI has a 76 per cent stake in the company, the balance is owned by the WBIDC. I-Win is currently working on a slew of infrastructure projects in West Bengal which include, the Information Technology Super Expressway project, the Asian Development Bank (ADB)-funded North-South Corridor project, the North Bengal Floriculture project and the Canal Waterways project which is being planned in partnership with the British Waterways Corporation.
