India, France Plan Joint Satellite Launch

Rupert Murdoch-controlled News Corp has set up another shop in India, Broadcast Worldwide Pvt Ltd, to be headed by Rathikant Basu, who is currently the chairman of another Murdoch company, News TV India Ltd or Star TV India.

Significantly, Star TV India's chief executive Peter Mukerjea, will be responsible for all Star TV activities in India, including the direct-to-home division, after the latest changes which get effective from January.
