The western region National Thermal Power Corporation (NTPC) has produced 29,756 million units of electricity and 85.51 per cent of the plant load factor (PLF) the highest among NTPC regions in the country during 1996-97. The western region NTPC plants produced 2.6 per cent more electricity in 1996-97 compared to the previous year, NTPC executive director H L Bajaj said here yesterday.
