Bharti revamps its business structure

Bharti Televentures, the largest GSM service provider in the country, today announced a new business structure with the inclusion of four regional hub chiefs in the northern, southern, eastern and western parts of the country.
 
The hub chiefs would also be part of the company's mobility office and will be supported by circle and regional heads, with their respective teams.
 
The eight member mobility board would be headed by Manoj Kohli, president, mobility.
 
The other members include Jagdish Kini, executive director, south regional hub, Vinod Sawhny, executive director, west regional hub, Sanjay Nandrajog, executive director, north regional hub, Rajan Swaroop, director, east regional hub, Atul Bindal, chief marketing officer and director, Don Price, chief technical officer and director, and Ashok Juneja, director - planning and special projects.
 
In addition the board would also have 3 special invitees "" Shamik Das, chief financial officer, Rajan Dutta, chief of human resource and business excellence and Anurag Prashar, chief customer delivery officer.
 
According to an official release, the Bharti corporate office would only focus on strategy, leadership development, architecture and governance, while the empowered regional hubs would be responsible and accountable for overall business performance and deployment of strategies in their respective circles and regions.
 
The release also quoted Sunil Mittal, chairman and group managing director, Bharti Enterprises, saying that the company was embarking on a new growth path, and 'to gear up for this challenge we (Bharti) have made strategic changes in our management organization structure.
