Dr IT Planets to set up educational institute, call centre

Chandigarh-based Dr IT Planets Ltd, which is in the business of software development, research and business process outsourcing, is setting up an educational institute in Punjab.
 
The institute, to be spread over 5.5 acres of land, will offer courses in MBA, B Pharma and MCA, and is expected to be operational by July.
 
The company is also coming up with a 1,000-seater call centre in Mohali, to be completed in phases, besides an infotech special economic zone in Greater Noida.
 
"The civil work of the upcoming institute near Banaur in Patiala has already started and we hope it will be ready by July 2007," Dr IT Planets Ltd Executive Director (Corporate Affairs) Deepti Mahajan told Business Standard.
 
Commenting on future plans she said: "We have plans to set up an infotech SEZ in Greater Noida. We have already submitted the application to the Greater Noida Development Authority for 50 acres of land."
 
"The SEZ will have every facility and will also have incubation facilities for infotech companies," she added.
 
The company provides software development, integrated business process outsourcing solutions, contact centre operations, high-end infotech training, call centre operations and software development for domestic and global clients from its operation centres in India.
