 "Hyderabad to host 2nd edition of Indian Gadget Expo in September")
Hyderabad will play host to the 2nd edition of Indian Gadget Expo 2015, a show that serves as a platform to showcase innovative gadgets and technologies, from September 18 to 21, according to state IT and panchayat raj minister KT Rama Rao.
Organised by Skits Events, the Gadget Expo will bring together major stakeholders of the tech community comprising technology providers, gadget manufacturers, technology innovators, bureaucrats, government officials, entrepreneurs and startups.
“The expo will showcase around 1,000 gadgets from over 300 manufacturers from 12 countries including Israel, China, Korea, Taiwan and Japan,” Sanjeev Kumar, chief executive officer of Skits Events, told mediapersons on Thursday.
“We welcome and appreciate the organisers for taking the lead and making it possible. Hopefully, we can together raise the bar in the years to come, perhaps to the level of CES (Consumer Electronics Show) in Las Vegas,” the IT minister said.
The four-day event will include a series of seminars on current, engaging and much-talked about topics, covering smart cities, mobile technology, future gadgets and gaming.
The event is expected to witness footfalls of around 100,000 visitors and participants from across the world, Kumar said.
