Nihar Info to set up centre in Vizag

Nihar Info Global Limited, an information technology company, will be setting up a development centre in Visakhapatnam within the next 12 months. The company intends to invest around Rs 4 crore to set up the centre that will have the capacity to house 350 resources.
 
Speaking to Business Standard, Satish Kumar Ravva, company secretary of Nihar Info Global, said, "We will be going for a rights issue shortly through which we plan to raise Rs 5 crore. These funds will be used for setting up the new centre. The thrust area for the centre will be overseas projects."
 
The company has a development centre in Secunderabad and branch offices in Kolkata and Delhi. It also has a subsidiary in the US. The company's headcount is around 100 at present.
 
The company is also on the verge of partnering with AP Forensic Science Laboratories and plans to develop a software product for crime reconstruction. "A formal agreement will be signed shortly," Ravva added.
 
The board of directors of Nihar Info Global has approved enhancing the loan facilities with the Union Bank of India from Rs 30 lakh to Rs 40 lakh. It has authorised the company to make an application to the Department of Scientific and Industrial Research to avail the funding facility for the proposed software product.
 
Nihar's areas of operation include application development, multimedia services, networking, product development and web-based services. It caters to sectors like government, education, defence, forensic science, travel and hotels and clubs.
