NIIT to offer PG diploma in .Net technology

Infotech training major NIIT has introduced a new post-graduate diploma in the .Net technology.
 
According to the company, the programme is specially designed for final year students of engineering and science graduates. This course will help them gain a competitive advantage in a technology that is in vogue.
 
"With this programme we hope to equip those seeking a career in the infotech industry with state-of-the-art concepts and technologies to stay ahead," said Pradeep Narayanan, head (education business), NIIT.
 
The 10-month-long application oriented course comes with specialised modules on industry orientation and enables the students to prepare for the Microsoft certification. The course costs Rs 29,000.
 
"Microsoft's .Net development architecture is the fastest growing software development platform in the world and professionals with .Net skill sets are very much in demand," added Narayanan.
 
The .Net software allows infotech professionals the flexibility to deploy next generation technologies on the existing systems.
 
NIIT claims that its industry collaboration cell has over 100 clients seeking students trained in the .Net software.
 
The average starting salary for those proficient in .Net is around Rs 12,000 a month. According to NIIT, its close association with Microsoft has resulted in a more comprehensive course content.
 
The company offers courses on various Microsoft certification programmes through it network of certified technical education centres.
 
Last year, NIIT was recognised by Microsoft as the 'Best training provider on .Net' for providing high-quality education and certification services to learners of .Net.
