Nipuna sets up BPO facility in Chennai

Nipuna Services Limited, a business process outsourcing (BPO) arm of Satyam Computer Services Limited, has announced the establishment of its BPO facility at Ascendas International Tech Park, Chennai.

This is Nipuna's third location in India with the first two being in Hyderabad and Bangalore, a media statement said. The Chennai facility is being set up primarily to cater to the growing needs of the animation sector and will also cater to other business process verticals in future.

Said Venkatesh Roddam, chief executive officer of Nipuna, "The volume of our animation business from national and international customers is looking very positive. Through the establishment of the Chennai facility, Nipuna has made a strategic decision to cater to and further tap this segment. We are currently in an advanced stage of negotiations for international business in animation."
