Mold-Tek Packaging Ltd, the plastic packaging specialist for paints, has received order from Asian Paints to set up two new plants for supply of pails. “The company has received LOI for setting up two new plants to supply pails to the upcoming new plants of Asian Paints Limited,” said Mold-Tek in a BSE filing. Pails are plastic cylindrical containers (usually having a handle or bail) with a capacity of about (3 to 50 litre).
The capacity of the company’s plants will start at 3500 tonnes of polymer processing per annum in 2019 and would reach 14,000 tons per annum in 2024, subject to its pricing, service & quality, added Mold-Tek.
Mold-Tek Packaging Limited (MTPL), one of the leading players in rigid plastic packaging in India, is involved in the manufacturing of injection moulded containers for lubes, paints, food and other products. MTPL has seven processing plants and three stock points spread across India to ensure faster supplies. It has a huge injection moulding capacity of around 20000 TPA. As a pioneer of pail packaging in India, the company has introduced spouts and in-mold spout concepts for the paint and lube pails.
