Bluestar Silicones, the Lyon (France) headquartered silicones raw material manufacturer, has signed an agreement with Grasim Industries Ltd, a flagship company of Aditya Birla Chemicals Group, for the distribution of its, thus enhancing its distribution network in India.
 
With this partnership, Aditya Birla Chemicals becomes a major distributor for Bluestar Silicones in the country, offering the full range of the group’s silicone products for the Indian customers.
 
“Our cooperation with Grasim Industries, an Aditya Birla Group company and a leading chemical player involved in diverse markets, is a huge step forward towards strengthening Bluestar Silicones presence in this emerging market. The local customers will have fast responses about our innovative products and full technical support from the large network coverage of Aditya Birla Group.” said Frederic Jacquin, CEO of Bluestar Silicones International.

This project unites a leading chemical manufacturer in India with key positions in many fields with one of the global leaders in silicones having a strong specialties portfolio and extensive R&D capabilities. “Leveraging this union will bring benefits to our Indian customers and give them easy access to the unique properties of silicone technology,” said Bluestar Silicones in a press release.
 
The $ 650-million Bluestar Silicones has manufacturing operations throughout the world and combines upstream silicon metal operations and capacity with downstream silicone market and application development expertise. The company offers a comprehensive range of silicone technologies in support of diverse specialty markets including paper release, textile coatings, healthcare, mould-making, automotive, aerospace, and personal care.
