Kandla Port allocates additional land to Aegis Logistics

Aegis Group, a logistic service provider to oil, gas and chemical industries, has been allotted 15 acres of land at Kandla Port to build a storage terminal in addition to existing 5 acres of land already allotted in April 2015. With this, the aggregate land allotted at Kandla port is 20 acres. The land is allotted on a lease for a period of 30 years by Kandla Port Trust.
 
Anish Chandaria, managing director & CEO, Aegis Group, said, “With the allotment of additional land at Kandla Port, we continue to strengthen our presence in Gujarat. A strong presence at Kandla Port is important for us as the port handled approximately 29 percent of the POL (petroleum, oil & lubricants) traffic at major ports last year. Kandla Port Terminal is an important part of our strategy to build a necklace of terminals around India’s coastline which will enable us to offer comprehensive facilities at every gateway into and out of India for a large number of cargoes to our customers.”
