BGR Energy bags Rs 300 cr orders in Telangana

The orders consists of two substation contracts from state utility Transmission Corporation of Telangana Limited (TCTL) and an e-BoP contract from NTPC

BGR Energy has received new orders worth Rs 300 crores in the electrical sub-station segment through its electrical projects division. It consists of two substation contracts from state utility Transmission Corporation of Telangana Limited (TCTL) and an e-BoP contract from national power major NTPC.
 
The two orders secured from TCTL include construction of 400/220 kV Substation at Julurupadu (Bommanapalli) in Khammam district and construction of 400/220 kV AIS substation at Nirmal in Adilabad district on turnkey basis in Telangana.
 
The order from NTPC is for electrical equipment supply and erection package for TAND Thermal Power Project stage II at Vidyut Nagar district, Uttar Pradesh, on turnkey basis.
 
Commenting on the development, V Balakrishnan, president - electrical projects, BGR Energy, said, “Given the thrust in substantial scaling up of investments in transmission & Sub-transmission segment, there is a need for significant addition of new capacities across states. With our domain expertise, we are geared to utilise these emerging opportunities."
