Japanese auto maker Isuzu Motors starts production from AP facility

With this facility, built with an investment of Rs 3,000 crore, the company to focus on pick-up truck and SUV segments in the country

Isuzu Motors has operationalised its Rs 3,000 crore manufacturing facility at SriCity, Andhra Pradesh. The new plant was inaugurated by N Chandrababu Naidu, Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh.
 
The facility in SriCity, a fast emerging industrial hub, will have an initial production capacity of 50,000 units a year which can be scaled up to 1,20,000 units per year. The Japanese utility vehicle manufacturer will first manufacture the adventure utility vehicle D-MAX V-Cross from the new facility.
 
“With the inauguration of this plant, Isuzu Motors starts local manufacturing in India. The new D-MAX V-Cross adventure utility vehicle along with other pickups will now be made in India,” said Isuzu Motors in a press release.
