Pepsico extends manufacturing contract with Hindustan Foods

The Dempo Group company will continue manufacturing Kurkure extruded snacks products at its Goa facility till July 31, 2015

Pepsico India Holdings Pvt Ltd has extended its contract manufacturing with Hindustan Foods, a part of Goa-based Dempo Group, to manufacture its extruded snacks products for another one year. The food and beverages giant had entered into an agreement with the Goan company in February 2013 to produce various snack products, mainly Kurkure, at its manufacturing facility in Goa till June 30, 2014. Now this agreement has been extended till July 31, 2015.
 
Hindustan Foods Ltd informed BSE on September 25, 2014 that the manufacturing and supply agreement entered by the company with Pepsico India Holdings to manufacture Kurkure extruded products and any other products, as may be mutually agreed in future, at its manufacturing facility located at Usgaon, Ponda (Goa), for the period upto June 30, 2014, is now extended upto July 31, 2015.
 
Hindustan Foods manufactures high quality cereal based food products and a range of instant mixes, baby foods, instant porridges, breakfast cereals and health drinks. The company’s hi-tech research and manufacturing facility is equipped with state-of-the-art twin-screw extruder technology to manufacture its range of cereal-based food products.
