With the continuous rise of technology, in recent years, the value placed on one’s digital identity only continues to grow. And in recent months, media has speculated that at this rate, a person’s digital identity will soon far outweigh one’s physical identity in value, challenging human existence and the things we value most. As the world continues to realize how influential big tech companies and social media platforms are, pertaining to their personal information and data, many are beginning to question security and furthermore the ownership of their information. Long-time entrepreneur Joshua Denne has recently been recognized for his latest business venture that emphasizes how inpiduals can reclaim their digital identity through SDK Co.

As a business investor in a number of ventures, this opportunity, Denne saw SDK Co. as an opportunity that he not only personally resonated with, but one that would have a resounding effect on society. Functioning to maintain, reclaim and protect consumer privacy, the company offers reprieve to those whose data and personal information has been sold, traded, and distributed—so basically everyone. Though the status quo has stated that big tech companies and social media should have access to consumer data, SDK Co. draws the line, with two new innovative devices that keep the user’s digital identity encrypted at all times.

Through the Meta Zero, currently available, the device keeps a user’s data, messages and calls completely private through encryption. But what’s more exciting is the company’s Meta One device that gives users the flexibility to toggle between two interfaces, lifestyle mode where users can interact on social platforms, and then private mode, where information is protected and kept from being shared. With the capability of catering to consumer tendencies, while maintaining protection, the Meta One device will be one of the first of its kind to allow users to engage while still having dominion over their personal digital identity.

“I see a bright future ahead, as long as we as a society can gain sovereignty over the digital versions of ourselves,” Denne says. “We’ve unknowingly given up too much information for free, all for the sake of social sharing. Now people are waking up to the realization of the value placed on our digital identity and the importance of owning it.”
