Construction firm BCD Group said its order book has crossed Rs 1,000 crore in June quarter of this fiscal year, up 30 per cent from the year-ago period. The Bengaluru-based firm said in a statement that it has bagged residential and commercial projects from many real estate developers, including Assetz Group, Salarpuria Sattva, Puravankara and Century Group. The company in the first quarter of FY24 received project construction orders worth Rs 300 crore for civil construction of premium properties.

SC dismisses Spicejet's plea seeking extension to pay dues to Maran

A bench of Supreme Court (SC) presided over by Chief Justice of India (CJI) DY Chandrachud and Justice PS Narasimha on Friday dismissed the applications filed by Spicejet seeking an extension to pay Rs 75 crore to Kal Airways and Kalanithi Maran.

 

While dismissing the plea, the bench said that the present application is "nothing but a delay tactic of Spicejet Ltd to not pay money even when there are court orders directing the same".

K'taka to spend Rs 52k cr annually on 5 key promises, to benefit 13 mn

Seeking to highlight the Congress party's poll promises, Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah on Friday said approximately Rs 52,000 crore would be spent annually for the five key poll 'guarantees' and it is expected to benefit 1.3 crore families.

 

Presenting the 2023-2024 budget, with an outlay of over Rs 3.27 lakh crore, in the Legislative Assembly, he said through the five 'guarantees' (poll promises), the government will be providing an average additional financial assistance of Rs 4,000 to Rs 5,000 a month to each household.

Sebi to auction two properties of Swar Agrotech on Aug 7 to recover money

Capital markets regulator Sebi on Friday said it will auction two properties of Swar Agrotech India Ltd at a reserve price of over Rs 1 crore on August 7 to recover money raised by the firm from the public through illicit schemes.

Inviting bids, the Securities and Exchange Board of India (Sebi) said an auction of the properties will be conducted through online mode between 11 am and 1 pm on August 7.
