Tensions between long-standing allies France and Israel flared up as the show was getting underway, when Paris ordered the main Israeli company stands to be closed down

Deliveries to start in the next few months; deals consist of both wide-body and narrow-body planes

The purchase agreements were signed on the sidelines of the ongoing Paris Air Show

That deal, sketched in February, was at the time the largest ever announced by number of planes. But it was surpassed on day one of Paris show by rival IndiGo's order for 500 Airbus narrowbody jets

But they also face a challenge to meet that demand as suppliers struggle with rising costs, parts shortages and a scarcity of skilled labour in the wake of the pandemic

The airline is expected to take the delivery of its first plane in the first half of 2022

Airbus also said it had reached a preliminary deal to sell 11 A321neos to Taiwan's China Airlines
