Premier Explosives to collaborate with IIT Madras for research

The Secunderabad-based Premier Explosives Ltd, one of the major companies manufacturing the entire range of explosives and accessories for the civil requirement, has entered into a joint development agreement with Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Madras for carrying out collaborative research projects in the area of high energy materials.
 
This is Premier Explosives’ second such collaboration, the first one being with Gulbarga University, Gulbarga (Karnataka), in June 2009. The MoU was signed to give a fillip to the mutual cooperation in research, training and extension activities in the material science department.
 
Premier Explosives is a pioneer in high-energy materials like stephanae, azaide and other constitute materials for explosives, propellants and detonators. These materials used in mining, rocket-launching, defence, warfare and other sectors.
