Power Grid Corp awards Rs 78 cr contract to Siemens
As per the contract, Siemens will be responsible for design, supply, installation and commissioning of 7X500MVA, 765/400/33kV, single-phase autotransformers at Bhuj

Siemens Ltd has won an order worth approximately Rs 78 crore from Power Grid Corporation of India Limited (PGCIL) to design, supply, install and commission 7 X 500 MVA, 765/400/33kV, phase autotransformers at Bhuj.
“The project will boost the power handling capacity of Power Grid Corporation of India Limited and create safe, reliable transmission infrastructure in western India. The project also promotes environment protection as these transformers will transmit power generated from renewable sources,” said Harald Griem, executive vice president and head, energy management division, Siemens Ltd.
