IPL 2025 witnessed an unexpected pause on May 8 due to rising India-Pakistan tensions following the Pahalgam attack on tourists. The tournament resumed on May 17 after an eight-day suspension, with BCCI announcing revised schedule and pushing the IPL 2025 final to June 3 from May 25. .
Teams in the IPL 2025 playoffs
Four teams have secured their spots in the playoffs: Punjab Kings (PBKS), Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB), Gujarat Titans (GT), and Mumbai Indians (MI).
IPL 2025 playoff schedule and match-ups
PBKS and RCB will face each other in Qualifier 1, with the winner earning a direct spot in the IPL 2025 final. Meanwhile, Mumbai Indians and Gujarat Titans will battle it out in the Eliminator.
The team that wins the Eliminator will then go up against the loser of Qualifier 1 in Qualifier 2. The victor of this match will become the second finalist to compete in the grand finale on June 3.
