Nagpur (Maharashtra), Dec 17 (ANI): Former Maharashtra chief minister and Leader of Opposition (LoP) in the state assembly, Devendra Fadnavis, on December 17 said Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray has betrayed the farmers, as he alleged that the latter will not release Rs 23,000 crore which are required as compensation to farmers who faced the brunt of unseasonal rains. "CM had announced that they'll provide Rs 25,000/hectare to farmers suffering due to untimely rainfall. But yesterday when the supplementary demands came, they had allotted only Rs 750 crore. If they have to give Rs 25,000/hectare then they should have allotted Rs 23,000 crore. The manner in which this govt is being run, in its first stage itself, it has betrayed the farmers of Maharashtra," Fadnavis told media in Nagpur.
