Author Dan Brown has completed his third book The Lost Symbol in the best selling Da Vinci Code series and a film on the new book is already in the pipeline.
Brown completed the third book a month ahead of the release of the prequel Angels & Demons, which is releasing on May 15. The third book will hit the bookstores in September and is expected to be the biggest seller of the year.
“This novel has been a strange and wonderful journey,” a statement released by author said on Monday.
The movie adaption of the third book has already been planned. Reports suggest that Columbia Pictures will move quickly on the third feature film. Having the rights to the Robert Langdon character already, Columbia were able to negotiate a deal for the new title, Ace Showbiz reported. However, details on the proposed third film are yet to be disclosed.
'Angels & Demons', the second film on based on the adventures of professor Robert Longdan, teams up once again director-writer duo, Ron Howard and Akiva Goldsman. Tom Hanks returns as Robert Langdon and is supported by Ayelet Zurer, Ewan McGregor, Stellan Skarsgard, Pierfrancesco Favino and Armin Mueller-Stahl among others.
