For those looking to do something more than merely relax, a golfing vacation is a good option.

What is it?
Golf is as "corporate" as a sport can get. So how about combining your holiday with a game that matches your jet-setting corporate lifestyle?

Well, for those who haven't yet caught onto the latest travel trend and with the moolah to spend, we are talking about golfing holidays.

Where all can I go?
If you are serious about the game, you should, at least once in your lifetime, play in Scotland, the home of the game. The country has more than 500-odd golf courses spread over six golf regions that you can choose to play on.

Also, this is right time to plan your holiday here as the main golfing season in Scotland begins in April and lasts till end-September.

For details on where you can stay, play and how much you will have to pay, we suggest that you visit www.golf.visitscotland.com.

And if you need some more reason to spend a part of your summer playing golf in this beautiful island country, well, four of Scotland's popular distilleries, making some of the country's best selling whisky brands, have joined hands with some of Perthshire's top golf courses to offer a unique package, where you get to play golf and also visit the whisky distilleries of Dewar's World of Whisky, Tullibardine and Blair Athol.

Where else can I go?
If you want something closer home, you could try Mauritius. The country has nearly 200 golf courses and the packages are a lot more affordable.

SOTC offers four and six nights golf holiday packages to Mauritius. The packages are valid between April and end-September. A four-night package on a twin sharing basis will cost you $534 and above (roughly Rs 21,781), while a six-nights package will cost $774 and plus (or approximately Rs 31,571).

The package includes accommodation, breakfast and dinner, transfers and tour of the north and south islands. The price does not include airfare, airport taxes, overseas travel insurance and surcharges.

Exotic destinations and golf, is that possible?
You could try Cox & Kings' Glorious Greece package. It includes golfing at the Glyfada golf course, near the capital city of Athens. The pine-studded course offers a scenic view of the Saronic Gulf islands that are a part of the Aegean Sea and is open nearly all year.

The six-nights package offered by Cox & Kings costs Rs 54,997 and the price includes accommodation, dinner and transfers. The package also includes a tour of Athens by night and a few days specially reserved for shopping.

Another country that is looking to promote golf as its key tourist attraction is Spain. Courses along the Costa del Sol in southern Spain are among the ones you could travel to.

Take it or leave it?
If you're looking to do something different this summer, we suggest you try a golfing holiday. If you want a package tour that is easy on your pocket, we'd say you try SOTC's Mauritius Golf packages. But for a true golf enthusiast, it's Scotland where you should be headed.

Each watch carries a unique name that symbolises the core inspiration. That's the cake. The icing is that by buying one, you get to take part in a lucky contest, and could win an opportunity of flying aboard a Cessna aircraft.
