Additional Advocate General Ranjit Thampan today informed the Kerala High court that action against Suzlon Energy Ltd would be initiated as per the law.

The report prepared by the government was only an internal fact-finding excercise and the petitioner could obtain the same under the Right to Information (RTI) Act, Thampan said in a submission before the court on a petition filed by Suzlon seeking a direction to restrain the state government from taking action against them.

Justice P N Ravidran directed the governemnt to asceratin whether the copy of Chief Secretary's report can be granted to the petitioner under the RTI act.

The court adjourned the case tp thursday for further hearing.

According to the petitioner, the government constituted a high-level committee headed by chief secretary to enquire into allegations regarding acquisition of tribal land at attapadi by the petitioner.

Without hearing the petitioner, high level committee had submitted the report, it was stated. Even though the petitioner requested for a copy, it was not given.

The petitioner challenged the act of the government against them on the basis of the report.

Suzlon said they had put up 31 wind turbine generators in palakkad district. There were complaints that the land belongs to tribals and transactions were illegal.
