Ashok Leyland sales drops 16% in May

Commercial vehicle sales, excluding small commercial vehicle Dost, were down 22% at 4,932 units

Hinduja Group flagship Ashok Leyland Ltd has posted a decrease of 16 per cent in total sales at 7,267 units for the month of May, 2013, as compared to 8,655 units in the same month of last year.

The sales of commercial vehicles, excluding the small commercial vehicle Dost, stood at 4,932 units in May, this year, with a drop of around 22.33 per cent compared with 6,350 units sold during the corresponding month of last year.

The sales of SCV grew by one per cent, at 2,335 units in May, 2013, as against 2,305 units in May, last year.
