Private lender Axis Bank today said it is targeting a credit growth of 20 to 21 per cent this fiscal.
"We are looking at a credit growth of 20 to 21 per cent in the current fiscal," MD and CEO of Axis Bank Shikha Sharma told reporters on the sidelines of Ficci Banking Conclave here.
When asked whether the bank is planning to raise deposit rates or not, she said they were reviewing the situation and a decision would be taken soon.
She added that first the deposit rates would be hiked and then the lending rates.
To a query, she said deposits growth during the second quarter should be higher as compared to the first quarter. "Credit growth is likely to be moderate during the second quarter," Sharma said.
