Eric Vas, president, motorcycle business, Bajaj Auto said, "The original Bajaj Platina is one of India's most successful bike models with more than 50 lakh bikes on road. It is seen as a low maintenance and a good resale value motorcycle. The new Platina now takes mileage to a level of 96.9 kmpl, making it the 'world's mileage champion'."
Priced at Rs. 44,272 (ex-showroom price), the new bike is designed to appeal to the long-distance commuter. It comes with a new long travel telescopic front suspension and SNS (double spring) rear suspension, a long wheelbase, three inch wide rear tyres and electric start.
