Bangalore-based defence ministry undertaking BEML Ltd has bagged an order for $11 million (Rs 50 crore) from Myanmar for the supply of a fleet of dump trucks, used for transporting loose materials, and spares.
According to a company statement, it has received an advance payment towards the supplies and shipment would commence in the latter part of this year.
BEML is also focusing on African and Chinese markets for mining and construction equipment during the present year.
BEML has its overseas establishments at China, Brazil, Malaysia and Indonesia apart from dealer tie-ups in various countries. BEML products are present in over 55 countries across the globe.
