ABB Ltd has informed BSE that the Board of Directors of the company at its meeting, held on Friday, considered the decision of Biplab Majumder for taking retirement from the services of the company and accordingly accepted his resignatIon to the position of Vice Chairman & Managing Director of the company with effect from December 31, 2010.
Biplab Majumder would however continue as a non-executive Director on the Board till the Annual Gereral Meting of the company to be held in May 2011.
At the same meeting, the Board of Directors appointed Bazmi Husain, as the Managing Director of the company as a replacement for Biplab Majumder. Bazmi Husain will take over with effect from January 1, 2011.
