The Visctronic fan drives would address engine cooling needs of Daimler's trucks designed for long haulage applications, said the company in an announcement.
"We are pleased to produce this technology in our Chennai plant in Tamil Nadu, India, providing localised manufacturing and engineering support to Daimler India Commercial Vehicles," said Daniel Paterra, president and general manager, BorgWarner Thermal Systems.
The company has a manufacturing facility in Chennai, supplying products to various Original Equipment manufacturers. It has operating manufacturing and technical facilities in 57 locations in 18 countries and provide powertrain solutions to the customers.
