In an apparent terror attack, at least three persons were killed and over 140 sustained injuries when two powerful explosions rocked the US city of Boston during an annual marathon yesterday.
The two blasts occurred within seconds on a sidewalk along the 42-kilometre route of the Boston Marathon, where people had lined up to cheer on the marathoners.

"Our thoughts and sympathies go out to all those people impacted by this terrible tragedy. As the official technology consulting partner and supporter of the 2013 Boston Marathon and the Boston Athletic Association, we had several TCSers at the event location," a TCS spokesperson said.
All employees associated with the marathon as well as the runners from Team TCS have been accounted for and are safe", the spokesperson added.
