Ahmedabad-based healthcare major, Cadila Healthcare Ltd has reported standalone net profit of Rs 134.2 crore for the third quarter ended December 2011, down by 4 per cent from Rs 140.3 crore in the same period last year.
Total income increased from Rs 718.1 crore for the quarter ended December 31, 2010 to Rs 878.9 crore for the quarter ended December 31, 2011, the company informed in a filing with the BSE on Tuesday.
"For the third quarter ended December 31, 2011, Zydus Cadila registered a total Income of Rs 1401 crores up by 20 per cent from Rs 1170 crores in the corresponding period last year, on a consolidated basis. The net profit excluding the impact of foreign exchange fluctuations loss was up by 7 per cent to Rs 177 crores from Rs 165 crores in the corresponding period last year," a company statement said.
