CPI to oppose increase in petro-prices

If Government planned to increase the prices by Rs 10 to Rs 17 as per reports,inflation, which was 7.8 per cent now, would rise further and people would be seriously affected with prices of essential commodities increasing further.The government was sending a "wrong signal" to the people and his party would totally oppose any such move, he said.    

On BJP's victory in Karnataka, he said "it is not positive vote but negative vote for the failure of Congress-led government to deliver the goods."    

On Maharashtra Navnirman Sena leader Raj Thackeray's tirade against North Indians, he said 'India belongs to Indians. There is no Bengali, Malayali, Tamilian or Maharashtrian.If anybody tries for fragmentation they are anti-nationals and enemies of the Nation.'
