| Farhat Omar Rabbani, managing director of the Indian operation, said the international courier company has identified India and China as its two growth markets. "Accordingly we are expanding our reach in India," he said in Kolkata on Friday. |
| Rabbani was in Kolkata to tie up with Sky-Ship Logistics Systems Pvt Ltd, a Kolkata based company, for extending its network in the east. |
| "At present, 95 per cent of our revenues come from export business. We expect domestic operation to contribute 50 per cent of the revenue in three years. We are at the network building stage. DPEX footprint will cover the entire country by end of this calendar year," Rabbani said. |
| The express cargo company will take up customised logistics solutions, freight forwarding, bonded warehousing and distribution in phases. |
| The courier business, which is largely into unorganised sector in the country, is estimated at Rs 4000 crore in India and is growing by 20 per cent every year. |
| DHL, Blue Dart, Federal Express are some of the more established brands in this area. DPEX has number of institutional clients such as Fabmall, Oriflame, Ambattur Clothing among others. |
| It is offering specialised services reverse pick up, return service, multistation account based on strong technological back up which DPEX is building in India. |
