The company had registered a net profit of Rs 51 crore in the same quarter a year ago.
The company's income during January-March quarter of 2013-14 was at Rs 699 crore compared to Rs 600 crore in the same period a year ago, it said in a release.

Edelweiss Financial Services scrips spurted 19.92% to end at Rs 44.55 per share at close on BSE.
