The pre-commissioning work of FACT-RCF Building Products Limited (FRBL), a joint venture between FACT and Mumbai-based RCF, for producing gypsum-based building materials, was launched jointly by A Asokan, chairman and managing director of FACT and U S Jha, chairmand and managing director of RCF and FRBL, at Ambalamedu, near here.
Construction work of FRBL plant, which is coming up within the compound of FACT Kochi Division at Ambalamedu, is almost complete. The plant will manufacture wall panels, wall plaster, wall putty and other products from gypsum, a by-product in the production of phosphoric acid.
Rapid Building Systems of Australia has supplied the know-how and the critical equipment required for the plant. The plant is expected to be commissioned by the end of August this year.
