Outsourcing services provider Genpact is planning to strengthen its smart decision services division and plans to increase the revenue share from the business. The company also said that it is planning to hire more employees to strengthen the practices. The company has formed smart decision services, including analytics and research practice. At present, the division contributes around 15 per cent of the total revenues of the company.
“We are quite bullish about the analytics business. We want to work with our customers and help them in managing cost, resolve their cost, marketing and sales-related issues,” said Pankaj Kulshreshtha, business leader-analytics and research, Smart Decision Services.
Presently, the division employs around 5,000 people and is planning to hire more for the analytics and research practices. “We want to increase the team strength of the division, but we cannot give a number now,” Kulshreshtha added,
He also said, the analytics division witnessing a tremendous growth in revenue share. “The division is growing much faster than the company average and we hope this will continue."
Genpact also said that verticals like pharma, retail CPG, banking generate huge amounts of data and these verticals offer opportunities for analytics in the market. The company's analytics team is mainly based in Bangalore and Gurgaon while smaller teams are located in Hyderabad and Kolkata.
