BSH Home Appliances Ltd, a subsidiary company of the BSH Bosch und Siemens Hausgeräte GmbH, plans to set up a manufacturing facility in Tamil Nadu. The new facility will attract an investment of a little over Rs 475 crore.
Tamil Nadu Chief Minister handed over the land allocation letter to V K Viswanathan, who represented BSH Home Appliances Pvt Ltd, in Chennai on Sunday.
The facility will be spread over 42 acres at Pillaipakkam, SIPCOT, in Kancheepuram district. The facility will provide employment to 1,000 people directly and another 1,000 indirect jobs would be created, according to state government release.

Founded in 1967, as a joint venture between Robert-Bosch GmbH, Stuttgart, and Siemens AG, Berlin and Munich, BSH offers major domestic appliances, consumer products and domestic technology.
Starting with 13 production sites in three countries, it has expanded its activities to encompass 43 factories in 14 countries in Europe, the USA, Latin America and Asia, according to information available on the company’s website.
