Electrical equipment maker Havells India today posted 19.92% increase in its net profit to Rs 70.24 crore in the quarter ended September 30, 2011 as against the same period last fiscal.
The company had a net profit of Rs 58.57 crore in the corresponding quarter last fiscal, Havells India said in a filing to the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE).
During the quarter under review, the firm's net sales stood at Rs 850.39 crore, a 28.59% increase from Rs 661.31 crore in the year-ago period.
During the period while its cables and wires business had a revenue of Rs 369.18 crore, electrical consumer durables segment had a revenue of Rs 122 crore.
Besides, the firm's lighting and fixtures had a revenue of Rs 137.44 crore during the quarter.
Scrips of Havells India closed at Rs 357.95 on the BSE, down by 1.50%.
