The country's largest private sector lender ICICI Bank today reported a 22% jump in net profit to Rs 1,503 crore for the second quarter ended September 30, 2011.
The bank had posted a standalone net profit of Rs 1,236 crore for the July-September quarter last fiscal.
Total income of the bank on a standalone basis increased to Rs 9,897.17 crore during the quarter from Rs 7,887.03 crore in the same quarter last fiscal, ICICI said in a statement.
On a consolidated basis, ICICI Group's net profit increased by 43% to Rs 1,991.68 crore during the second quarter from Rs 1,394.94 crore in the same period a year ago.
At the same time, total income of the bank on a group-wide basis increased to Rs 16,110.61 crore during the quarter from Rs 14,464.55 crore in the same quarter last fiscal, it said.
