After petrol, compressed natural gas (CNG) price has been hiked by Rs 0.50 per kg to Rs 29.80 per kg.
Indraprastha Gas Ltd (IGL), the sole supplier of CNG to automobiles and piped cooking gas to households, will raise compressed natural gas price in Delhi, Noida, Greater Noida and Ghaziabad with effect from midnight tonight, industry sources said.
Last month, state-owned oil firms had hiked petrol price by a steep Rs 5 per litre in view of rise in cost of raw material (crue oil).
CNG price were last hiked on April 3 when IGL raised rates by Rs 0.30 per kg.
The new consumer price of Rs 29.80 per kg in Delhi would be effective from midnight tonight.
